'I want to play', Tierney sends message to Arteta with performance
Speaking after his goalscoring heroics against FC Zurich, Kieran Tierney says he wants to play more regularly for Arsenal. He said: “I want to play every single chance I can get, but I’m just going to keep working hard.
"The manager knows I’ll give 100 per cent every single day, whether I’m starting or not, I’ll support the team from the bench. If I need to come on, I’ll give everything.”
Tierney has fallen down the perking order this season behind Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu. He has started just thrice in the Premier League.
He featured in all six Europa League matches though and capped a strong showing against Zurich with his first goal this season.
That strike ensure that Arsenal finished ahead of PSV in Europa League group A, thus avoiding the knockout round playoffs.
