Havertz 'has more FIGHTS than SHOTS' as Chelsea man strops after Newcastle loss
Newcastle fans have joked Kai Havertz had more fights than shots on goal during Chelsea's clash with Magpies on Saturday evening.
Havertz was at the centre of clashes between the two sides after the full-time whistle had sounded and tensions had boiled over. Players from both sides had to play peacekeeper as Chelsea's German star appeared to be at the heart of the disagreement.
The German has struggled to make his mark on the game for 90 minutes as Newcastle moved up to third in the table. And it led to Newcastle fans making the cruel joke about his performance.
One fan tweeted: "Havertz had more fights started (1) than shots big flop!"
"Havertz thinking he's hard, I'm crying laughing, mate you're f***ing awful," a second added. While a third tweeted: "I reckon Dan Burn hadn't forgotten that elbow in the face from Havertz at Stamford Bridge [last season].
And one Chelsea fan was so irate at his performance, he said: "I was wishing Kai gets a punch or an injury so we don't have to see him till he's sold!"
