Dortmund director hints club might be open for Bellingham talks - it depends on one thing
Borussia Dortmund might lose their young star Jude Bellingham next summer, with Real Madrid being one of the interested parties. It appears that the club won't stand in the Englishman's way as long as he makes his intentions clear.
"We will talk as soon as the World Cup is over, we will have fundamental conversations about what he would like in the future," Watzke has said, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
"He just needs to tell us if he wants to stay or leave. In both cases, we will discuss it in a friendly and reasonable way. In general, we can imagine that he stays with us, but we can't act as if is definitive.
"If he says he wants to try something new, then the really big European clubs will come and we won't be able to compete with them financially."
As per prior reports, Bellingham is Madrid's main target for next summer. However, the Merengues will not go all out for the 19-year-old, and in case BVB slap a €150m price tag on the midfielder, they could drop out of the race.
