Dejan Lovren names two former Liverpool teammates who are greatly missed at World Cup

"They are two big superstars, and I think the World Cup in Qatar misses big players like Salah and Sadio," Dejan Lovren told reporters after Croatia's 0-0 draw with Morocco.

"But this is the World Cup, there are other players, and the good thing is that Mo can still reach it. He's still young.

"Unfortunately for Sadio, it's unlucky, really bad luck, the last game before the World Cup, but Sadio will also come back."

Sadio Mane suffered an injury weeks before the World Cup and was ruled out after undergoing corrective surgery.

Meanwhile, Salah is fit and firing but his Egyptian side failed to qualify for the showpiece after falling at the last hurdle to Senegal.

Lovren played for Liverpool between 2014 and 2020 before leaving for Zenith. Both Mane and Salah were his teammates at Liverpool before his exit. Mane has since moved to Bayern Munich.
