Chelsea to offer new contract to 38-year-old Thiago Silva after World Cup
Chelsea have decided to offer Thiago Silva a new contract. However, the Blues will not begin talks of an extension until after the World Cup, per the credible Adam Newson.
Silva's contract expires in the summer by which time the Brazilian would've turned 39.
A new deal will see Thiago stay at Chelsea until he's 40.
Still, the Brazilian captain has been Chelsea's best and most durable defender this season despite the Blues spending over £150m on new defenders last summer.
Chelsea are likely to hand Silva another one-year deal.
