Chelsea all set to appoint 35-year-old Vivell as technical director – Boehly pushed to get him
Chelsea are now in the final stages of appointing Christopher Vivell as their new technical director, according to reliable reports from Sky Sports in Germany.
35-year-old Vivell will become one of the youngest technical directors in football when he eventually signs for Chelsea.
Vivell became popular for signing players like Erling Haaland during his days at Salzburg. He later joined RB Leipzig where he signed players like Christopher Nkunku, Naby Keita and Ibrahima Konate.
Last month, Vivell quit his job as technical director of Leipzig in the aftermath of strong rumours linking him to Chelsea.
Todd Boehly is said to have pressed hard to get Vivell as technical director. The German will work closely with Paul Winstanley who was appointed Chelsea's director of talent and transfers earlier this month.
