Benzema beats Salah to Dubai Globe Soccer Men's Player of the Year
Karim Benzema has been named the Dubai Globe Soccer Men's Player of the Year, defeating Mo Salah and Erling Haaland.
Real Madrid clinched the Club of the Year while manager Carlo Ancelotti was named Coach of the Year.
The gala ceremony was held today at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, three days before the start of the Fifa World Cup finals in Qatar.
The winners were once again chosen by the fans and an international jury of sports coaches, directors and club presidents.
Other award recipients are Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and Didier Drogba.
Benzema caps a superb year after winning the La Liga, Champions League and Ballon d'Or.
