Ansu Fati returns to national team with goal, thanks Luis Enrique for call-up
After a two-year pause motivated mainly by injuries, Ansu Fati has played for Spain again. The 20-year-old started the match against Jordan and featured for 72 minutes.
The Barcelona forward scored the opener fairly early into the game. Here's what it looked like.
After the game, Ansu said: "I feel no added pressure of playing the World Cup, I’m ready. I want to thank Luis Enrique.
Fati's return to the national team came as a surprise to many as he hadn't featured for La Roja since 2020. He didn't have an important role at Barca before the World Cup either.
However, we now see that Ansu's scoring abilities haven't gone anywhere and he will certainly be a useful asset for Luis Enrique during the tournament.
Spain won the game against Jordan 3-1. Gavi scored a goal as well.
