5 players who absolutely have to leave Real Madrid in 2023
Perhaps the biggest problem at Real Madrid is the massive ability gap between the starters and bench players. This is one of the reasons why Carlo Ancelotti hasn't been rotating that much since his return.
While we could get away with it last season, the competition in La Liga is much fiercer this year around. Thus, we believe it's time to ship away the players that have little to no contribution to our team.
Jesus Vallejo. The Spaniard is too poor even for a fourth-choice centre-back. There is no point in keeping someone who starts just four games per season.
Eden Hazard. Madrid have accepted that Hazard's transfer has been a flop, it is time that the Belgian accepts it too. He's been given enough chances to prove himself, it is his fault that he failed to.
Alvaro Odriozola. The right-back is yet to play a single minute this season. Ancelotti clearly prefers Lucas Vazquez as a backup to Dani Carvajal, and no team needs three right-backs in the squad.
Dani Ceballos. The coach seems to be happy with what Ceballos can offer, and Dani would be a good bench option if not for one thing -- his constant injuries.
Mariano. The Vallejo of our attack, Mariano has scored just 7 goals since joining us in 2018. Mariano doesn't start even when Karim Benzema is out with injuries, a clear indication that he is not needed at the club.
