Xavi: 'In the 11 months I have been here, the team has improved a lot'

"I think that in the 11 months I have been here, the team has improved a lot," Xavi said after the win against Valencia.

"We played with a bit of anxiety today. I think we were affected by Wednesday.

"We were better than Valencia and we deserved that winner. It was not an excellent match by any means.

"Let's forget the result and focus on what we did well and what we did wrong. The team deserved it. It gives us confidence and morale."

After the match against Valencia, Barcelona sit in first place with 31 points. However, Real Madrid are also on 31 points but with one game in hand.

La Liga is said to have become Barca's main target for the season after the Champions League elimination.
