'We are somewhat tired. There are too many games': Ancelotti names another reason for Girona struggles

"The games are complicated and it's only normal that we face some difficulties. As I've said, we are not showing an excellent level, but there are a lot of games, too many. We don't have enough time to fully recover, physically and mentally.

"All I'm saying is that I don't see any team playing spectacular football at this point of the season."

Real Madrid, like many other top clubs, have been playing twice a week since the start of September. Ancelotti has tried rotating his squad but he clearly needs to do it more often.

There are two league games left before the season breaks. The 2022 World Cup is scheduled to start on November 20.
