Thiago Silva gives update on Chelsea contract talks, Potter shares his stance
Thiago Silva is 38 years old but shows no signs of slowing down. He's still a world-class centre-back so the majority of Chelsea fans want him to extend his contract as the current one expires next summer.
The Brazilian insists he would sit down with the club to discuss his future.
"It's probably not the right time to talk about a new contract," the defender said.
"For me, what is important is to keep playing at a high level and achieving the best results.
"There will be a time when we need to talk, before or after the World Cup, so we will see what happens."
Graham Potter has also given his opinion on extending the veteran's stay.
"I think the decision is Thiago's, I see his quality and he is an incredible person and player," he said.
"That is something for him and the club to think about."
