Former Barcelona youth sensation Xavi Simons has given insight into how training is done at Barca compared to PSG.

"Difference when I arrived at PSG? Believe me, at Barca they don't do much work in the gym, they work with the ball, but not in the gym," Simons told ESPN.

While Simons may be right, Barca have been prioritizing gym work and intense training since Xavi became manager in 2021.

Simons who now plays for PSV as an attacking midfielder left Barca for PSG in 2019 after the Parisians offered him a €1m per year salary.
