'There's a bit of tightness': Potter reveals why Kovacic was subbed off during Champions League game

Graham Potter provided an injury update on Mateo Kovacic after Chelsea's Champions League win over Salzburg.

“He’s just feeling his calf a little bit. It was a heavy pitch, there’s a bit of tightness – hopefully it’s not too bad," said the boss.

"It was the same for Mason, the same for Ruben, it’s just how it is at this point of the season.”

Hopefully it doesn't spell any more trouble for the Croatian midfielder as his return from injury has uplifted the team's form. He scored against Salzburg on Tuesday and changed the game when he came on against Man United.
