The Sun: Cristiano Ronaldo faces £720,000 fine for Newcastle antics

It appears that Erik ten Hag is coming down hard on Cristiano Ronaldo after the Newcastle United incident at Old Trafford.

According to Neil Custis of The Sun, a tier-two source, the Portuguese is now facing a two weeks' wages fine of £720,000 for defying the manager.

The 37-year-old headed straight down the tunnel before full time during Manchester United's goalless draw against the Magpies on October 16 without the Dutchman's permission.

Ronaldo was then dropped from the matchday squad to face Chelsea the following week and barred from training with the rest of the first-team squad. It remains to be seen what's next for Cristiano at Man United.
