The insane number of goals Haaland must score each season to equal Ronaldo's all-time total

Erling Haaland will need to keep scoring at an alarming rate if he intends to beat the astounding goals record set by Cristiano Ronaldo. 

According to BT Sport's Sam Homewood, Haaland needs to hit 43 goals a season for the next 16 years just to match the Manchester United superstar's tally of 700 club goals (817 overall).

That means Haaland needs to keep playing and scoring until he's 38 and Ronaldo also has to stop scoring right now.

What we know for now is that Ronaldo simply hasn't stopped scoring, which means Haaland may have a long way to go if he ever hopes to match the Real Madrid legend.
