'Tell him "no": Carragher not having Mbappe at Liverpool, names main reason why

"The problem I have is that why is this coming out now?" Jamie Carragher told CBS Sports when asked about rumours linking Kylian Mbappe with a move to Liverpool.

"They’ve got a Champions League game tonight [v Benfica, 1-1, Mbappe scored a penalty].

"The thing with Mbappe is, I think we all love him as a player, he’s amazing but there is too much ego, power for a 23-year-old player - who is one of the best players in the world - but he is a young player, and I think someone needs to just tell him ‘no’."

It was reported on Tuesday that Mbappe is desperate to leave PSG as early as January despite signing a new deal in May.

Liverpool are named as one of the clubs he could join, with PSG preferring to sell to the Reds.
