Telegraph's Matt Law confirms extent of Fofana's injury, likely recovery time

French newspaper L'Equipe was the first to confirm that Wesley Fofana has avoided a major injury in the AC Milan win.

The centre-back only has a sprained knee, it became clear after a scan. The player could be out for around four weeks.

The Telegraph's Matt Law has confirmed the story while also pointing out that Fofana could be back even a bit sooner in what is undoubtedly good news for Chelsea.

It's also good news for France as Fofana is likely to be fit before the World Cup starts in Qatar at the end of November.
