Ronaldo received zero Ballon d'Or votes, here's why he still finished 20th
Cristiano Ronaldo didn't get any vote from the jury for the Ballon d'Or. This is according to a full rundown of the voting process released by France Football.
Yet, Ronaldo finished 20th out of 30 – how's that possible? It has been revealed that he only got that placement due to past nominations being taken into consideration.

The Manchester United star wasn't the only one who didn't receive any vote though. Harry Kane, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo, Joshua Kimmich, Mike Maignan, Christopher Nkunku, Darwin Nunez and Antonio Rudiger were equally snubbed.
Ronaldo has claimed the prestigious award five times but the latest edition went to former Real Madrid teammate, Karim Benzema.
