Real Madrid and other Super League clubs reportedly to offer new format to teams around Europe
Real Madrid, alongside the other clubs still involved in the Super League project, will soon talk to top clubs around Europe to offer a new format, The Telegraph report.
It's said that the ESL founders will suggest a new competition format with no permanent clubs.
Back when the Super League was originally announced in 2020, this was one of the biggest points of contention - the fans were opposed to a closed-league format. Now, it seems like the founders are ready to propose a system resembling the national leagues.
At the moment, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are the only clubs still involved in the project.
