One stat says it all: Xavi won only one UCL game in charge of Barcelona

Xavi's Champions League record is pretty worrying. Since the appointment as Barcelona manager almost a year ago, he has only won one of his six UCL games.

In his first Champions League campaign, the gaffer took charge with two group stage matches remaining. After drawing 0–0 with Benfica and losing 3–0 to Bayern Munich, Barca finished third in the group stage which put them in the Europa League play-offs.

This season, the situation is not too any different. Xavi's men have so far claimed only one victory in four encounters, scoring five goals against Viktoria Plzen.

Bayern remain our major sticking point as we lost yet again conceding two unanswered goals back in September. Inter were no picnic either - an away defeat and a hard-fought draw at Camp Nou yesterday. In theory, Barca still have a chance of making the playoffs, but it's not just up to us now.

The key question is what does Xavi lack to do well in the Champions League?
