Manchester United drop Ronaldo ahead of Chelsea clash after antics in the Tottenham game

Man United have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will be dropped from the squad for the Chelsea game this Saturday.

This comes after Romaldo sparked controversy by leaving Old Trafford before the full-time of Man United's 2-0 win over Tottenham where he was an unused sub.

The club said in a statement: “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday’s game against Chelsea. The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture.”

The Athletic also confirms that Ronaldo will now be made to train all alone, as Erik ten Hag punishes him for his antics.

In the summer, a potential move for Ronaldo was on Todd Boehly's agenda, but it was blocked by Thomas Tuchel. The German is no longer at the club, but the 37-year-old's behaviour hardly makes him more attractive to Graham Potter.
