Speaking on talkSPORT radio, former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy said: "Jadon Sancho is not the player Manchester United thought he was going to be, but he's still young, we're not talking about a player's career being over.
"He's struggled to settle, it's a massive club, huge transfer fee. Man United have to be patient, there's a lot going on. He's had a change of manager. It's not been a happy club, they're not playing well, it’s a lot to deal with.
"If you put him in the Arsenal side right now, who are a team who are completely different to what they were 12 months ago, playing much better. If you put Sancho in an Arsenal side I think you'd see a different Sancho."
Sancho joined Man United in the summer of 2021, arriving as one of Europe's brightest prospects from Borussia Dortmund for a transfer fee of £73 million.
The 22-year-old has now struggled under three different managers at Old Trafford, losing his place in the England squad ahead of the World Cup.
