Real Madrid defeated Sevilla 3-1 on Saturday. This game will be remembered for Fede Valverde's screamer but the Uruguayan wasn't Madrid's biggest strength in the game — substitutes were.
Carlo Ancelotti made a triple substitution in the 77th minute, bringing on Rudiger, Vazquez and Asensio. The score was 1-1 at that time.
Lucas and Marco ended up changing the game. Vazquez restored Madrid's advantage two minutes after coming on and Asensio was involved in the build-up.
Asensio plays a brilliant through ball for Vinicius:
Vinicius spots Vazquez to his right:
Despite being in a good position to score, Vini sets up Vazquez who puts the ball into the net:
Marco then assisted Valverde's golazo, playing a smart ball to the right to find Fede in a good shooting position.
Obviously, players like Vinicius, Modric and Valverde were instrumental in the victory but substitutes Asensio and Vazquez were key in Madrid getting all three points.
