According to the Liverpool Echo, Ibrahima Konate was absent from Liverpool team training on Friday. It's unclear if the Frenchman's absence is injury-related.
The centre-back has only recently recovered from a knee injury suffered in pre-season. He made a comeback as a second-half substitution against Arsenal and then started against Rangers in a 7-1 win.
Considering injuries to Matip and Trent, a potential Konate relapse is extremely worrying. If Ibou is not fit for Sunday, Klopp would have to either field Gomez at centre-back and Ramsay at right-back or play Nat Phillips alongside Van Dijk. Another option would be to try Robertson at right-back.
It has to be noted that Thiago was not in training the day before the Arsenal game after returning from an injury. So hopefully it's Klopp's strategy of managing his players and Ibou will be available against Man City on Sunday.
