Klopp uses Cristiano Ronaldo example to explain Liverpool's current form

When asked about Liverpool's form and confidence, Jurgen Klopp said: "Do you think Cristiano Ronaldo at the moment is at the top of his confidence?"

"It happens to all of us. Lionel Messi last season was pretty much the same. You have to take a step in the right direction and when you're ready, it's back (the confidence).

"In individual sports you can fight yourself through it. In team sport, you have to do it together. It can be more complicated," Klopp added.

Liverpool have been in stuttering form since the season began with just three wins from 9 games.

The Reds are in action on Tuesday in a Champions League group stage game.

As for Ronaldo, he was left out of Manchester United's 6-3 defeat against Manchester City. He's yet to score in the league this season.
