Klopp apologizes to Guardiola for having coins thrown at him – Liverpool vow lifetime ban for guilty fans

When asked about how he feels that Pep Guardiola had some coins thrown at him by the crowd during Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Man City, Jurgen Klopp said: “Oh, horrible. I am sorry. I apologise for that.

“I had no idea about it. It never should happen, never.”

Liverpool also released a statement on the matter that read: “We are aware of an incident involving objects being thrown into the technical area at today’s game.

“This is totally unacceptable behaviour and not the standards of behaviour we expect at Anfield. This incident will be fully investigated using CCTV and those found guilty will be punished, including a lifetime ban from Anfield Stadium and a possible football banning order.”

Guardiola was left extremely frustrated after the loss, which left his side 4 points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.

It was a big win for the Reds, who will hope it raises their morale and sends them in a strong run of form until the World Cup break.
