it’s for McTominay': Ten Hag explains Casemiro's omission from starting XI

Ten Hag has explained why he chose to go with Scott McTominay instead of bringing in Casemiro for United's game against City on Sunday.

"On the day we signed him, we started to win. The team was doing well. It’s not against Casemiro, it’s for McTominay.

"I’m sure he’ll be important for us, in the short term he’ll find himself in the team, but it has to come in a natural way."

Hopefully Casemiro finds his feet soon enough and it is likely he'll be given a chance to do that against Omonia in the Europa League this week.
