Injury to Reece James "more serious than first anticipated," World Cup spot in question
Reece James in danger of missing the upcoming World Cup, according to the Daily Mail, a tier-two source.
The defender's knee injury is 'more serious than first thought' and the 22-year-old could have surgery instead of going to Qatar.
James was forced to come off the pitch in the 62nd minute during Chelsea's 2–0 win away at AC Milan in the Champions League earlier this week.
The first scan on the England international's knee showed the issue wasn't serious. However, another scan yesterday showed a worse diagnosis after a more extensive examination.
