‘He is making progress’: Ten Hag gives hint on when Martial can return to action for United

In a recent press conference, Erik ten Hag was asked if Anthony Martial can be expected to return to action for Man United before the Qatar World Cup break.

He answered: “I hope [so]. But he is making progress. He is outside and he is working there. So, he is on the pitch, and we are waiting for his step back into team training.”

Martial picked up another injury in United’s win over Everton earlier this month and has missed the last few games as a result.

He’s unlikely to take part in the next 2-3 games and it remains to be seen if the Frenchman can make an appearance for the Red Devils before the World Cup break in November.
