'Expected this week': Romano provides update on Chelsea's technical director hunt

Chelsea are very close to acquiring the services of former RB Leipzig director Christopher Vivell and Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the same.

"Chelsea will work on details to complete Christopher Vivell appointment this week," wrote Romano.

"He's expected to join as new technical director, waiting for final steps then it will be time to sign contracts. Appointment of new sporting director, not imminent yet.

Hopefully, Chelsea sort out the sporting director positions soon enough as the squad will need additions in January.
