Court orders newspaper to pay Florentino Perez one euro
Florentino Perez has won the court case against El Confidencial over the leaked audios from last year, Voz Populi report.
El Confidencial have been ordered to pay one euro as compensation to the Real Madrid president. Perez specifically insisted on this sum to prove that the whole case was about respect and privacy and not about money.
As a reminder, El Confidencial leaked several audios of Florentino back in 2021 in which the Madrid president was heard insulting multiple players and coaches.
It's unclear how El Confidencial got their hands on the audios. Before publishing the tapes, some journalists tried to blackmail the club for €10m.
