Barcelona could LOSE Ansu Fati if his play time does not improve, agent Jorge Mendes has warned

Ansu Fati is open to leaving Barcelona should he continue to lack sufficient game time, his agent Jorge Mendes has warned.

Despite featuring in all 11 of Barcelona's LaLiga matches so far this campaign, Fati has only started two of those fixtures, scoring in his most recent start against Villarreal last week.

According to Mendes, the Spaniard will consider exiting the Nou Camp in the near future in an effort to hunt down more frequent first team opportunities.

However, Spanish outlet Sport has claimed that Barcelona are relaxed about the situation, as a result of Fati's hefty €1billion (£868million) release clause.

Fati has contributed three goals and three assists in 16 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona this season, already reaching half the goal tally he managed in 2021-22.

The winger has also assembled four caps for Spain since his debut in 2020 and is widely regarded as one of the most talented teenage footballers on the planet.

Barcelona seemed to recover well from their disappointing defeat by Real Madrid earlier this month, as the Xavi's side carved out a convincing 3-0 win against Villarreal last Thursday.

But the Spanish giants suffered Champions League misery on Wednesday as Bayern Munich thumped the hosts 3-0 at the Nou Camp, confirming their exit from the competition at the group stage.

Barcelona's lack of Champions League matches from February will only worsen Fati's chances of getting on the pitch more frequently.
