Barca board identify who is at fault for Inter disaster - not Xavi

Although Xavi's Champions League record leaves much to be desired, Barcelona's board do not find him culpable for the recent disaster against Inter Milan, Cadena COPE's reliable Victor Navarro reports.

Instead, the officials believe it was the club veterans who let the team down on Wednesday as they did not show the required level. As a reminder, a defensive error from Gerard Pique and a misplaced pass from Sergio Busquets cost us two goals.

Besides, they believe that with a different defence, the team would've won the match 3-0. In particular, they reckon Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde wouldn't have led the team to victory.

The board encourages the team to keep fighting, with a long season ahead.
