Arsenal 'ready to use' Lokonga in swap move for Manuel Locatelli in January
Arsenal are planning to make a move to sign Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli in the January transfer window, claims Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.
The Gunners are even ready to ‘sacrifice’ Albert Sambi Lokonga as a sweetener in the deal.
With both players around the same valuation and neither being regular starters for their teams, a swap deal could be on the cards.
But, a possible complication for this deal is that Locatelli is on a two-year loan at Juventus – who have an obligation to buy him next summer.
So the Gunners will need Juventus to activate that buy clause in January before a swap deal can be discussed.
Lokonga has made 7 appearances for Arsenal this season, which includes only two starts in all competitions.
