"Andreas Christensen has sometimes played as a defensive midfielder with Denmark and did well there," Xavi has said.

"We have several options. De Jong can play there too, as well as Kessie," the Barca boss added.

Frenkie de Jong usually plays in Sergio Busquets' position when the latter is absent. Xavi is yet to try Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen or Eric Garcia there.

Meanwhile, this could be the last season for Busquets at Barca. We're yet to see if Blaugrana will look for his potential successor in the market.
