When asked about why Marcus Rashford is missing from Man United’s squad for the FC Sheriff clash, Erik ten Hag said: “He's not available. The consequence after Arsenal. He has a muscle injury.
“No, I don't think too long (that he’ll be out for), but I cannot tell how long. It's not really bad and we expect him to be back quite soon.”
Rashford was not involved in United’s 0-1 loss to Real Sociedad in the Europa League last week, and it looks that was because he was injured.
As Ten Hag indicates, the Englishman shouldn’t be out for a long time but his absence on Thursday means that Cristiano Ronaldo is set to start up-front once again.
