Sergi Roberto claims having Lewy in the squad 'is a gift', gives update on his injury

The only sour note in Barcelona's win over Plzen last night was the fact that Sergi Roberto withdrawn from the action at half-time with a thigh problem.

However, speaking to Diario AS after the game, the right-back declared that there's nothing to worry about.

"I had some discomfort in my adductor but they [club physios] have told me it is nothing serious".

Roberto was injured for almost all of last season. He addressed the matter when asked about it.

“Last year was very difficult for me with the operation. I am here to work, return the trust and I am very excited for this season. The fans look excited to me".

On top of that, the Spaniard hailed Barca's MVP last night - Robert Lewandowski - after the summer signing bagged his first hat-trick for the club.

"The truth is that his signing for us is like a gift.He has scored a lot of goals already and apart from this he’s a great professional and an incredible person,” he said.
