Revealed: Arsenal still paying 25% of Nicolas Pepe's salary
Nicolas Pepe left Arsenal on a season-long loan in the summer after falling out of Mikel Arteta's favour at the Emirates.
According to The Athletic, a tier-one source, OGC Nice are only covering half of the winger's salary of around £10 million-per-year.
The Gunners are contributing 25 per cent of the player's wages while the Ivorian has 'agreed to forgo' the remaining £2.5 million for the season.
Although Pepe was clearly eager to return to France, Nice won't be able to make his loan permanent. The 29-year-old will be back at Arsenal next summer.
