Not our problem now': Klopp hits back at suggestion Liverpool miss Mane
In an interview with Norwegian media outlet TV2 after the Ajax game, Jurgen Klopp was asked what he thought of a theory that Liverpool still missed Sadio Mane on the pitch.
"Sadio is a world-class player. It was always clear that we were going to miss him," Klopp responded.
"But this is not our problem now. Unfortunately, we also played bad games with Sadio. Not 'so' bad, but bad.
"I especially understand that the Liverpool fans want to discuss it, want solutions and things like that.
"But trust me, we have worked on solutions, and now we have the opportunity to show that we have understood it, and that we will react."
After Mane's departure, Liverpool's attacking line looks very different, and it's natural that the Reds need time to adapt to it.
Still, they had time to prepare for it if Mane's own words are to be believed: he claimed that he wanted the boss about his departure as early as last year - and Liverpool failed to convince him to change his mind.
