Mendy rejects Chelsea contract extension offer, doesn't want to earn less than Kepa
According to Nizaar Kinsella, Edouard Mendy has turned down Chelsea's latest contract offer.
The Blues offered him fresh terms that would see him still earn less than Kepa.
The Senegalese wants to get more, or the same amount of money, as the Spaniard.
The reason why Chelsea did not propose him a better salary is that they don't want to have two goalkeepers on big wages.
Kepa reportedly earns £145,000 per week while Mendy pockets £52,000 per week.
