Memphis Reacts to Barca's first Start Of the Season: 'I am happy to be given a chance'
Memphis Depay has finally put his name on the scoreboard this season. The forward netted a beautiful goal against Elche yesterday and talked to the reporters after the game.
Here's what the Dutchman said: "I'm happy to score. When the opportunities come to me, I try to contribute to the club and the team. I know what I can offer, and I show that in training".
"I'm happy to be given a chance. I'm not playing much this season, but I'll keep on working in the same way".
Depay is only 6th in Xavi's pecking order, behind Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele, Raphinha, Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres.
So far, he's had 130 minutes of playing time across all competitions.
