Mbappe confirms France president Macron asked him to stay at PSG -- drops Real Madrid hint

"I never imagined that I would talk to the president about my future," Kylian Mbappe told a PSG press conference.

"It's something crazy, really something crazy He told me: 'I want you to stay. I don't want you to go now. You are very important for the country.'

"When the president tells you that, it counts."

On whether he could join Real Madrid in the future, the winger said:

"You never know what is going to happen. I have never been there, but it seems as if it were my home or something similar."

Mbappe did a shocking U-turn and signed his PSG extension this summer after leading Real Madrid on for nearly a year.

However, Los Blancos have done just fine without him - they've started the season in devastating fashion winning the UEFA Super Cup trophy, while topping the table in La Liga.
