Manchester United Coach Ten Hag wanted to sign Kimpembe during the transfer window
Erik ten Hag made an enquiry about Presnel Kimpembe during the transfer window - according to reports.
Having been appointed as Manchester United manager this summer, the Dutchman recruited Argentina defender, Lisandro Martinez, from his former club Ajax in a bid to tighten things up at the back. Martinez has since started to form an impressive partnership with Raphael Varane at centre-back.
Ten Hag also brought in Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Martin Dubravka in his first window after arriving at Old Trafford.
However, while that marked a successful recruitment drive, plans are now being put in place for January and beyond - with several players thought to be on the radar.
Had things turned out differently, United might have signed Kimpembe from PSG instead. Le10Sport hint that three European clubs, including United, came calling for the France international this summer as he, ultimately, stayed put with the big-spending and reigning Ligue 1 champions.
It's understood that no concrete offer was made, though, from United or Premier League rivals Chelsea. Italian side Juventus were, also, understood to be interested.
Elsewhere, Galatasaray are reported to keen on signing Victor Lindelof after watching the Sweden captain, 28, slip further down the defensive pecking order.
Lindelof has yet to appear in the Premier League so far this season as he continues to compete with Varane, Martinez and Harry Maguire for a starting place.
A Spor claim the Turkish side are tracking him with a view to swooping next summer. Lindelof was snapped-up for around €35million in 2017 - when Jose Mourinho was United manager - and has made 197 appearances since joining the Old Trafford giants in all competitions.
No fee has been mooted over his would-be departure.
