Man United losing almost £3,000,000 a week – here's what it might mean for Glazers
Man United made some worrying revelations about their financial situation in their financial results for the fourth quarter of the 2021/22 season.
A really worrying thing revealed was that the Red Devils reported a pre-tax loss of £150m for the last campaign.
That equals to losing almost £3m per week, which is the club’s worst-ever loss record in history.
United’s £150m loss is also the third-worst loss for a single season in Premier League history.
This is having a negative impact on the club’s reputation as well as piling up the pressure on the Glazers.
#MUFC profit from player sales tripled from £7m to £22m, mainly sale of Dan James to #LUFC and sell-on fee from Romelu Lukaku’s transfer from Inter to #CFC, though still not that big by Premier League standards, e.g. #MCFC £69m, #WWFC £61m and #LCFC £44m (all 2020/21 figures). pic.twitter.com/3qTnuIeq7N

The United owners might have picked up a £30m from dividends recently, but they must be worried about the club recording losses for the third consecutive year.
The Glazers are basically business people, and seeing their business record such heavy losses can be alarming for anyone.
That is perhaps why the rumours of a potential takeover has accelerated in recent months, with Jim Ratcliffe also showing interest.
The next year or so can perhaps be the best time for the Glazers to cash in on the club and surrender their ownership, as long as they get someone to meet their £3.7bn valuation.
