Liverpool offered €100m for Fede Valverde in final days of transfer window
According to Spanish source Diario AS, Liverpool were interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde.
The Reds offered €100 million (£86m) for the Uruguay international in the last two days of the summer transfer window.
However, Real Madrid did not even consider Liverpool's offer. They see Fede as a 'non-transferable' and 'irreplaceable' player.
The 24-year-old looks exactly like the type of player Klopp would be interested in. He's very athletic and can contribute both defensively and offensively. He can also play as a right forward.
Liverpool ended up signing Arthur on loan from Juventus, with an option to the midfielder for €37.5m.
