Liverpool hope to extend Keita's contract
According to the Liverpool Echo's Paul Gorst, Liverpool are looking to extend Naby Keita's contract.
The Reds want to keep the Guinean at the club beyond his current deal that expires next summer. They have already held talks with his agent Bjorn Bezemer.
Keita was excluded from Liverpool's Champions League squad after picking up an injury before the Man United game. Bizarrely, he has been called up to the Guinea national team, with manager Kaba Diawara insisting he's recovering 'ahead of schedule'.
Gorst writes that Liverpool 'sources' insist that Naby is still injured and is very unlikely to participate in the games he's been called up for.
