Liverpool 'close' to agreeing new contract with Naby Keita
Liverpool are close to agreeing on a new contract with injury-prone midfielder Naby Keita, according to Football Insider.
Keita arrived in Liverpool in 2018 on a deal worth £48m. Unfortunately, his time at Anfield has been blighted by injuries which have forced him to miss 341 days of action - that's almost one full year spent on the treatment table.
Regardless, Liverpool are keen on extending Keita's deal to maintain his value and avoid letting him walk for free next year.
The Guinean is currently sidelined with another injury and may not kick a ball for the Reds until 2023 considering the World Cup.
