La Liga Giant Real Madrid planning to sign Haaland as Benzema's successor

Real Madrid still have plans to sign Erling Haaland in the future after deciding against getting him this summer, claims AS’s Thomas Roncero.

Los Blancos view the Norwegian goal machine as a successor to Karim Benzema and plan to sign him as the Frenchman’s replacement.

Florentino Perez has a plan set to sign Haaland in 2024 – when he believes the 22-year-old will be ‘fully prepared’ to take over from Benzema.

Madrid are aware that they can sign the Norwegian striker for a massive €180m – his release clause at Man City.

Haaland’s father recently claimed that Madrid was ‘no.3’ in his club preference this summer before he moved to Manchester.

The 22-year-old has had a brilliant start to his career in the Premier League, scoring 11 goals in appearances.
