'It's like the owners have been ignoring what is necessary': United fans react to worrying update on Carrington facility
As per The Athletic, there is a general feeling that Man United’s Carrington training facility isn’t attractive enough to lure top talents.
Some ‘industry sources’ believe that the Red Devils’ facilities are well below the high standards set by other top Premier League sides.
The Carrington training centre was opened in 2001 and there hasn’t been major work put in to modernize it since the Glazers took over.
The United owners are reportedly aiming to make the facility as the state-of-the-art one fans and players crave for, but a date for that hasn’t been revealed yet.
Fans are quite disgusted to hear that the Red Devils are lacking behind their rivals in terms of the training standards and reacted on Twitter.
UnitedPeoplesTV: “It's almost like there has been very little development of Carrington for a long time and its been left to rust? Like the owners have been ignoring what's necessary while others like Leicester, City and Liverpool build brand new start-of-the-art complexes? #GlazersOut.”
CrUtd: “Shocking that, an outdated and old training facility doesn’t attract talent that expects more, almost like the Glazers should have invested in upgrading it??”
JacobJarvis: “I’ll say it again, need to build a new training ground and either do some proper renovation on the stadium or knock it down and start again.”
Al Foran: “A stark reminder that these leech owners don't give a flying f*** about the infrastructure of the club, I'd say we're easily bottom 5 in the league when it comes to training facilities, the sooner Jim Ratcliffe comes in the better.”
Rajiv United: “What a shame Glazers have bring upon Man utd to the club & Fanbase. Even teams like Brighton & Brentford have invested more in improving facilities than Glazernomics ffs Sooner the Glazers go, it is better for us. Keep the pressure on.”
